Saving mothers and children, one heart at a time.
Who received material, psychological, and spiritual assistance.
Who were born healthy with our support.
We are always available.
We have walked a path of faith, courage, and dedication for the dignity of human life. Each stage is a testimony of love that never tires of fighting for every life.
“In 1991, moved by a deep desire to defend life, I began the Pro-Life Movement in Nova Iguaçu. It all started simply, with lectures in schools, warning about abortion and its painful consequences. Little by little, the mission took new directions: we began praying the rosary in public squares and distributing leaflets that courageously and truthfully denounced the harsh reality of induced abortion. It was the beginning of a journey marked by faith, the fight for life, and the hope of touching hearts.”
Creation of the Pro-Life Pastoral in the Diocese of Nova Iguaçu
The Pro-Life Movement was officially elevated to the category of Diocesan Pastoral by Bishop Werner Siebembrok. Friar Gaudêncio Sens (OFM) was appointed as Spiritual Director.
The pastoral began to work with public rosary prayers, lectures, support and guidance for pregnant women, as well as offering Christian formation and professional training courses.
Foundation of the First House
In 2007, the first Pro-Life Support House was founded, envisioned by Dóris Hipólito. The inspiration came when she encountered a pregnant woman living under a viaduct — a gesture that led her to rent a house to shelter her. From then on, other women in social risk and victims of domestic violence arrived, transforming the place into a home of care, shelter, and defense of life.
Birth of Mission Two Lives
After 34 years of dedication to pregnant women in situations of social vulnerability and to the protection of their babies at risk of abortion, the work began to be officially recognized with a new name: Mission Two Lives.
This milestone represents not only continuity but also a new stage in the journey of love, care, and defense of life from the maternal womb.
The name clearly reflects the essence of the mission: to care for two precious lives — the mother and the child — promoting dignity, hope, and concrete paths for life to flourish.
